This year’s edition will take place on the night of July 4th at the Saioners Sports Hall
The Santa Coloma de Farners City Council has decided to repeat its 2024 initiative and will once again place its trust in the Lab for the 2nd Edition of the Colomenc Sports Night — an awards ceremony that aims to recognize the top athletes from the capital of La Selva. This year’s gala will once again be led by Marc Mundet and journalist Georgina Triadó.
The city council’s intention is to improve “those little things that didn’t go quite right last year” and to take a step forward with this year’s edition. The main new feature will be the participation of ‘Vermins’, one of the breakout bands in the Girona music scene, expected to become a leading name in soul, funk, and rhythm & blues in Catalonia.
The first edition of the Santa Coloma de Farners Sports Night gathered around 700 people at the Saioners pavilion and marked the start of a celebration that — in the words of Sports Councillor Jordi Cullell — “aims to build community by stitching together our local sports.” In the men’s category, the award went to swimmer Jordi Corominas, while in the women’s category, gymnast Jana Cullell took the prize.
Initial meetings have already been held at The Basket Lab headquarters to design the structure of the gala and begin drafting the script. The 2nd Colomenc Sports Night will be held on July 4th at the Saioners Pavilion in Santa Coloma de Farners.
